The courses of the first year at P&S are diagrammed in the chart above. Classes start the last week of August and continue through 42 weeks of the academic year. Two vacations are scheduled - a winter break of approximately two weeks, and a one-week spring break. The figure listed beside each course title indicates the total number of hours assigned to that course.
